I am a fully bilingual and bicultural Psychotherapist with over 30 years of experience working with women, survivors of traumatic childhood and family, and domestic violence. My counseling approach is based on an empowerment model. My goal is to help women heal from their emotional wounds, and teaching them different ways of perceiving and resolving their problems.

Trauma Conscious Yoga Method and Mindfulness

I am also a Registered Yoga Teacher, and I have been trained, and experienced in using the Trauma Conscious Yoga Method. I integrate a mind-body approach into my work with some of my clients in order to help them in their healing process. This type of method focuses on the body and how emotions appear within the body. Somatic therapy may help alleviate symptoms of PTSD, depression, anxiety, trust & intimacy issues, as well as self-esteem problems.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

CBT helps you identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviors that are disrupting your well-being. It’s short-term therapy that is structured and focused on specific goals. This type of therapy may be help reduce or eliminate symptoms of anxiety, and depression.
